Truvada Side Effects. What are the side effects of Truvada, a drug used to treat patients with HIV/AIDS? According to truvada.com, the drug has serious side effects which you should watch out for. These are:

1. Lactic acidosis or buildup of an acid in the blood the symptoms of which are as follows:

  • You feel very weak or tired.
  • You have unusual (not normal) muscle pain.
  • You have trouble breathing.
  • You have stomach pain with nausea and vomiting.
  • You feel cold, especially in your arms and legs.
  • You feel dizzy or lightheaded.
  • You have a fast or irregular heartbeat.

If you get any of the above-mentioned symptoms, call your doctor right away.

Benicar Side Effects (Olmesartan): Diziness and Diarrhea?

Benicar Side Effects. What are the side effects of the high blood pressure drug olmesartan (trade names: Benicar in the US, Olmetec in EU and Canada, WinBP and Golme in India, and Erastapex in Egypt)? The National Library of Medicine lists dizziness, swelling, hoarseness, and breathing/swallowing difficulty as the most common side effects.

However, a new study by Mayo Clinic gastroenterologist Dr. Joseph Murray found that some patients who took the drug reported gastrointestinal disorders such as diarrhea, vomiting, severe nausea, and weight loss which are symptoms of celiac disease. These disorders reportedly disappeared when the patients stopped taking in olmesartan.

Benzocaine Side Effects and Health Risks on Children

Benzocaine Side Effects. Benzocaine, a topical pain reliever usually applied to the gums or the mouth to soothe pain, can be dangerous to your health. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, use of Benzocaine — which is found in over-the-counter drugs such as Anbesol, Hurricaine, Orajel, Baby Orajel, Orabase, Americaine, and many others — can lead “to a rare but serious—and sometimes fatal—condition called methemoglobinemia”.

Metheglobinemia leads to a reduction in the amount of oxygen being carried through the bloodstream; this condition could result in death.

Signs and symptoms. So how do you know if a person who used Benzocaine has developed methemoglobinemia? Here are some symptoms you should watch out for: pale, gray or blue colored skin, lips, and nail beds; shortness of breath; fatigue; confusion; headache; lightheadedness; and rapid heart rate.
